In 2005 the Laszlo Family began work with private and public partners to restore Odell Creek, The Madison River floodplain and its associated wetlands. This project continues to this day and has resulted in improved habitat for fish, birds and large ungulates. Working with the Madison River Foundation, Granger Ranches annually installs miles of temporary electric fence to protect the area’s river corridor and creeks. In its uplands, many miles of wildlife friendly fencing have replaced old five wire fence for the betterment of pronghorn, deer and elk. The Granger Ranches conservation efforts have been recognized by State and Federal government. Based on annual surveys, Montana Audubon has classified Granger Ranches’ river bottom property as one of Montana’s IBA’s (Important Bird Areas).
Your donation to the Madison River Foundation will help to ensure this legacy continues and the habitat you enjoy while hunting is maintained for future generations. Granger Ranches has been placed in a Conservation Easement with the Montana Land Reliance to protect its open spaces, working lands and important habitat.
